Inner peace

gonna have to listen to this one again, when im not being distracted by the sight of my friend getting his shaggy hair morphed into a mullet...but for what its worth, I really liked the samples. Strings felt a little hollow, maybe have them play chords, not single notes. Half way through, there was a sweet pad effect, filtering in with the choir or soemthing, sounded great. The piano at the end was a nice touch as well. Harp didnt really go anywhere but it looped nicely

Regards

Suspended-3rd-Chord responds:

haha...thanks for the review! yeah, good idea with utilizing more chords on the strings.

thanks for the good score and good review, BadAssGuyHead ;)

midi rip = not good

at least give credit to the music your stealing
i guess "this is your style," but still.

TMM43 responds:

Woah now.

I never said this is mine.
"PLEASE NOTE:
This song was made with samples and a midi found online."
I put that in there so people wouldn't accuse me of what you did.

uhhh

teeheehee

haha...grate cheese
(cant stop listening)

Woohooo

BEST SONG EVA!!!

Not really, poor use of loops, it hurt my ears. Going to go cry now.

Interesting though, i'll give ya that

To the victor goes the spoiles

A review for you. A lame reward, I know, but its all i got atm :(

The synthline sounds strait out of the SNES. This song's high points were the drums fills for sure. One suggestion, have the bassline variate during the drums fills too. It will sound loads better methinks, adding diversity and such...espcecially since the lead doesnt change much/at all

You didnt get the bonus, so only one review for now. The answer is much closer than you think

crunchy breakbeats

theyre nice

the lead was on point, the bas was a little too grainy, and didnt stand out enough next to the main synth. But the drums were definatly the best, sweet progression.
Tons of variation for a short loop, getting a 5.

i would like to humbly review

Reminds me of zelda, as a little kid running around the villages, picking up chickens, sometimes slicing them...then running for my life.

The horn melody was nice. I wish the first patch was orchestrated, as all the other instruments were. Instead of that synth, use a pizzi string, thatd be best in my oppinnion.

Twas good though, u get my 5!

Nice

I really liked the first half, but the lead in the second part is a lttle muffled. Doesn't stand out enough. Might behind the filter too much. The drums were sick, very replayable.

A 5 for you.

But when making loops, especially short ones like this, its not in your favor to have two distinct sections. Not as continuous that way

Whirlguy responds:

Thanks for the 5! ^-^

Hmmn I like the second part really, switches off the first part into something more mellow very nicely if I say so myself. I was aiming for that :3

Hmmn Ill keep in mind not to keep any distinct sections in short loops. Thanks for the hint. I made this little thing pretty quick and thought it was catchy so I posted it on here not really bothering about wether it loops well or not xP

Also keep your eyes open in the Audio forums whenever you can. Someone came up with a game and it's becoming a big succes. It would be great if you would join in sometime. Unfortunately theyre full for now, Ill tell you when they start a new one^-^

Haha

Good to see you went through with this...fucking snakes, piss me off so much.

Prety damn repetetive, although the part at one minute is really different, i like what you did with the vocals there. I cant help but laugh when I hear this, at least you brought a smile to my face :)

Oh the memories...

Couldnt help but feel like the melody was being drowned out by the strings in the middle and lower sections. I dunno if you used the same instrument patch or if its all the same, but you should turn down the volume or velocity on those notes. Its most noticeable in the dissonance from the suspensions. Some of the notes felt like they were cut off a little too early aswell.

Still, I apreciate this little trip back to the FF8 days. Squall, your such a hearthrob. Bout to look for my piano sheet music of this. Its deserving of a revisitation.
