Why is it that songs in 3/4 always sound like some kind of waltz or march? I'll take your dream-vision further...

This melody is playing while the king is arriving to his castle, being paraded through the town streets by his knights while the village chants along. The somber feel means the king probably has some bad news for his townfolk. The wait with baited breath to hear what it might be...

The structure of this loop is pretty much perfect, I could definitely see this being used in a flash game in the near future :)

I wasn't very fond of the choir sound. I like the thought of having a choir in this piece, but it lacked the strength and clarity of the other instruments.

It may be that nearly every 3/4 song *is* a waltz, and it's by far the only kind of music I know that makes use of a 3/4 measurement instead of 4/4.
I could also imagine to see this in a flash game some day. I have also been contacted by some people on newgrounds here, who wanted to use some of my music in their flash games, but so far only two of them replied yet to show me how they used it :( . Anyway, I'd appreciate any further use of my music. That's also what the CC License is for, which is used here on newgrounds. The choir may be a little bit too much in the background, because I didn't do any mastering things to that piece of music (except adjusting the volume to avoid clipping), as I didn't do that to any of my musics yet.

Sorta throw back with some of those synths, I'm getting a game boy vibe.

I like how much you're mixing it up, but it feels almost a bit too experimental. Not to say that none of it works, all of it does...but there's a little too much variation to get a good groove going. You have about five minutes of breaks and fills in a two minute song, haha.

It was a very neat listen though.

Yeah what I was thinking is it sounds something like that old batman game for game boy or another 8bit game song, that wasn't really how I was hoping it'd sound but it works for the song i guess.
I definitely see what you mean about all the breaks, just seemed a bit boring to me without switching it up every two seconds. I always forget that I'm hearing it hundreds of times while making it, so what's boring to me might not be so bad to someone who's never heard it. I'll work on making the next one a bit more consistent lol

You know you're doing something right when someone else is remixes your tracks...

You did a good job capturing the melodies and movements from the original, but this version lacked some of the punch that paragon's had. Overall, I felt the mix in this was pretty thin (if that makes any sense). Almost as if everything was behind one big filter...although listening on headphones changes that slightly

The piano runs at 1:30 were awesome :) The build up starting at 1:50 was a nice touch too, but the lead came in a bit too strong. Definitely had some nice touches at the end with the improvisations on the bass synth and the way the beat dropped.

The fact that you did all of this by ear is pretty damn impressive. Maybe you could remix one of my songs sometime ;)

Nice vibe you got going on. Reminds me of something you'd hear in some type of racing game - like F Zero. You did a good job of keeping the main theme going the whole time, but mixing it enough to make it interesting. Really cool auxiliary percussion work.

I felt like the plucked synths at the one minute mark could have been turned up a bit. The lead stuff at 1:30 could probably be extended and elaborated on a bit. Nice use of silence :D

There are still plenty of submissions out there just waiting to be judged! With the judgment process made quicker it's a bit easier to blam stuff too... than it was last year... the good old days seem so distant though. :/ Great to hear this piece sparked some nostalgia/emotion; glad to be back! :D

Nice filtered fade in, always clutch move. That saw lead is badass, so funky - it's almost like it's screaming to get the notes out. Is that rain I hear in the background at the two minute mark? Hell, throw in some waves and wind while your at it.

The song might have taken a stylistic detour, but I think you did a good job of keeping the theme intact. You got some serious skills.

Really pretty piece here. I'm impressed that you are able to keep my attention throughout despite it being 5 minutes of solo piano work. It really speaks to your ability to write a good melody and control your dynamic flow.

Still would have liked to hear some strings or something on this. Keep it up!

I've only played this game a little bit, but it's hard to imagine a song so beautiful in it...going to have to check out the original now.

I feel like the piano was a bit too low in register, could probably move everything up an octave (except for the intro, maybe). Sometimes the strings sounded like they were a bit behind in the attack envelope.

Your "dumb" voice is pretty amazing. Great expression and phrasing. The slight delay was a nice touch for some of the more intense sections, hardly noticeable but it definitely added to the atmosphere. What was that pad you added at the end? Could use some more of that...

I'm gonna say this now, and I know it's not the best excuse in the world, but I have the worst library ever and it hurts to use it sometimes. x_X The day I get a legit VST collection will be the best of my life and my music's life for sure.
