Yea....

you make sick beatz

What song are those lyrics from, biggie smalls? I shot that bitch

When the brass hits are solo, they sound funny, probably cuz the attack is too high, but i mean you may have wanted it to sound like that, gives it more flavor methinks. What a traditional southern swingers lead synth :)

Good job, ima start submitting more traditional rap loops

why 13/8...?

peculiar, makes for a unique sound. Celtic music. sounds like that would be fun to try. Where is the bagpipe and pan flute, only with those instruments can the dance around the sacrificial fire pit commence. The drum fill you used in the intro and at the end was off, try just having it do eigth notes, it sounds rushed at the start of the pattern.

Other than that, yea, good work

Nice to hear some melodious music coming out of the ap

ProfessorChaos22 responds:

Wh 13/8 you ask, purely for a challenge. I always write music in the normal 4/4 3/4 12/8 6/8 and so forth. So I composed a melody in 13/8 to see what it sounds like. The drum fills were sextuplets (or triplets in the 8th=1 sense), but they were quantized and yes I wanted them to rush the sound a little. It's not nearly done yet, the 2nd section is in 4/4. I am currently writing a pan flute part, and I can't find any good bag pipe sounds, so that is on hold .
Thanks for the review!

Aha

Distortion is not something i usually put on piano, but it worked nicely for this song

I liked the short synth line, and how you backed it up when the drum beats came in. Transitions went very smoothely. The last pad i wasnt a fan of, at that point in the song, more melody should have been introduced and not root chords.

Yea, the distortion on the piano bothers me slightly, when it goes solo at the end.

That effect you used in the begninning actually wraps it pretty well.

Keep on getting better, how do you have the time to make so many songs??

I get one or two out a week if im lucky :(

Reason is fun

I wished that the bass had a longer decay in the beginning. Shakers were a little too loud. The bass and drum breakdown was very cool, and the synthline that came in after the strings was pretty beatiful. Nice reverb on it, and it molded perfectly into the atmosphere.

Was that a sax you used in the beginning? haha.

Able to make dance music out of some very orchestral patchs, good job!

perhaps youve never been depressed before

but this is way to up beat to be melancholy and sullen like a depressed person. The beats you used, i guess were loops, they were alright i guess. They had some diversity and intresting fills, but were just way to happy. Whatever synths you used, they definatly did not fit a depressed style.

This makes me want to dance, not cry.

Goth?

definatly not

Cool?

Id say so, loops well. Nice little drum fills with the open hi hats. INtrestign little modulating pads and bells. Funny you submit something like this.

Check out my latest. Not quite as laid back as this, but much in the same style

Whirlguy responds:

Oh cool! Ill check it^-^
Thanks for the review!

Nice little combo

I dont think i heard the song you remixed this off of, your melody you say? Always fun to remix your own songs isnt it? THe intro was pretty sweet, crashes filtering in and out.

Nice synths in the background at the piano and drum melody line. The gritty bassline breakdown beat was awesome.

Ah, damn whatever drums fill you used before the last section def should have been built up more. Comes full circle nicely.

Strings and some other synths need to be remastered, muffled at some points. Besides that, pretty sweet if i do say so myself

I always liked trip hop

but this really didnt do much for me. Drums were pretty much the same throughtout, with the exception of filter modulation. Bass definatly needs to have more kick in it. Altohough the second synth bass you used was pretty crazy. It suspended on that high note then creeped slowly down. The woodwind instrument was an interesting touch as well.

The whole middle section was quite superb, then it went back to the original beat. Nice little transition with the square lead. The bass drum had too much reverb and sounded muddled when it came in with that part. Sick as hell still. Nice little synth solo lol.

Couldnt hear what the GW samples were saying at all, until the very end. I was expecting to get some laughs out of them. Oh well :(

Nie experiemental track from you SR

Why have we not collabed yet?

SineRider responds:

Thank you for the criticisms man. Obviously this isn't a strong genre for me so anything can help.

Hmm, A colab would be cool :D

Selling this for 5000?

Unless your bullshitting,Please fill me in.
It sounds a little dry to me, but its a rap beat so i guess thats fine. The synths were pretty generic and your bell sound is sort of shitty. Drum beat is way to simple. Its just a basic kick with a clap on the down beat. Methinks you could have done a lot more with it. Keep working.

(Must find a way to sell my beats....)

*Im listening to this at school so i dunno how it sounds on subs*

silverplated3 responds:

nigga ...THEN DONT REVIEW TILL U DO! DAMN! You can't hear the bass or anything i bet since you at school ...you people are idiots ...anyway jus go to Rocbattle.com and sell em ¬ ¬

yo

This loop is pretty crazy. I really like the filterage on the intro synth, they come in and fade out very nicely.
Whatever that crazy swell pad that comes in is, i love it. I want to make it mine someday....

THe meoldy could have been stronger once the bell synth came in, but whatever. I still like it
